Tips to Stay Fit in College

by BFit! on August 3, 2010

Between classes and all nighters in the library (or the bar) there is hardly any time to even think about exercise let alone actually doing it. Besides, walking across campus all day, everyday counts…right? It’s a good start, but no. As cliché as it sounds, it’s all about time management.

  • End that Skype conversation with your boyfriend before 12am and hit the sack early, so the next day you can hit the gym before class.
  • If you’re not a morning person, squeeze a 45 minute workout in if there’s a break in your day instead of heading back to the dorm to watch a little TV.
  • Or if you absolutely have no time to sneak over to the gym, make a commitment with yourself to ride your bike to the store or do sit-ups before bed.

I won’t deny the fact that it’s difficult to make healthy choices in college, when quick and easy tends to be a lot more fun. However, the choices and habits we acquire during this time tend to follow us for the rest of our lives, so it’s important to make your health a priority. Most importantly, ladies, for right now there’s nothing worse than packing on that Freshman 15, so strap on those running shoes and bfit!
