You will not only feel and look better externally, but internally as well. To improve one’s strength and appearance on the outside, one must first summon their inner strength and find a superior state of mind.
Power Fitness PDX is small group training functional fitness and boot camp classes that not only challenge you to new levels, but encourage you to surpass them. In PFPDX, you work as a TEAM, and sign up knowing you will be working with others to reach your goals. You have support, encouragement and guidance from one of the most dynamic and motivating trainers who will MAKE you ready to jump, ready to do burpees, eager to sprint, and eager to push yourself to the next level.
As a TEAM, everyone helps each other reach their goals. We ALL put goals “out there” so not only does the Coach know them, but the TEAM does. The social support and camaraderie is like none other, in addition to the intense workouts. No day is the same, no workout is the same, no session is the same. When you read the word TEAM, you think strength and camaraderie. Successful teams with Professional and Olympic sports work together to achieve success. That is the same in PFPDX. We are a team that works together, empowering our teammates to succeed through our support and encouragement.
Example: Session 8, 2009 – Teammates Nell, Jennie and Colleen made a pact for Fitness Testing. They said out loud they wanted to do a 12 minute wall sit. When testing, they encouraged each other to keep going, and the rest of the TEAM did too. If any teammate stopped their wall sit, they would take a break and continue on until the last person finished. That ended at 12 minutes 20 seconds, when all three made it past the 12 minute mark encouraging one another the entire time!
The empowerment is felt by all! It is incredible to see everyone is encouraged to reach their goals as individuals and as a TEAM.
In addition to classes, Power Fitness PDX CEO/Master Trainer and Coach provides health, fitness, and wellness workshops and events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Erin’s focus is to help women (and men) develop their self-esteem through athletics. She has worked with thousands of women in pre and postnatal fitness, sports training, and all stages of adult and family fitness. Erin’s philosophy for health and fitness is to truly look at exercise as a way of life. What you do today, affects how you are tomorrow. She is tough, not letting her clients shrug off workouts, but also knows how to add a laugh in between a set of push ups. When not chasing after her two little girls or teaching fitness classes, Erin is motivating and training others to become their fittest selves yet. She has written for many family and athletic publications, has been a contributing editor on the hit morning show, Better, and her business was recently voted Best of The Bay Top 5 Boot Camps. Erin has a BS in Kinesiology, is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Stott Pilates, Sports Nutrition and Fit to Deliver Pre and Postnatal Certified trainer.
