I like to exercise and I also like using my iPhone. There are a few iPhone/iPod Touch fitness apps I like to use to keep track of my overall fitness routine.
The first app I like, is the iSteps Pedometer . This handy app is a pedometer that uses the accelerometer in your iPhone/iPod Touch to track the steps taken during the day. It calculates distance, average speed and calories burned.
An app I like to us to track my caloric intake/output is, Lose It. I am able to easily enter food and exercise using a searchable database. The handy part about this app is that I am able to record the food I eat no matter where I am. No carrying around an extra food journal.
Now here’s a another app that helps me fit in some quick exercises while I am at the park with my kids. Playground Pump, the workout, is an app that shows you how to creatively use common playground equipment to get a great workout in! Who knew playground equipment could help an adult get into shape! My favorite exercise is the Playground Push-up using a horizontal bar.
As a special treat for our BornFit Friends, we have two Playground Pump app promo codes to share! The first two people to email me at bornfit1@yahoo.com will be the lucky recipients of the promo codes, please type PLAYGROUND APP in the subject, so act now!
